Pernille’s team design all aspects of interior architecture, bespoke joinery, sourcing of furnishings and the final styling. The studio style is characterised by Pernille’s Scandinavian and Asian background, however paying attention to context and historical details inspire their design schemes in such a way to give each project detail and character.

What do you do when you’re not working?

pernille lind

Simple daily routines, such as watering the garden, making food or going to the farmers market. Oh  and try to see friends and family even though it’s hard when everyone is spread across London and  various countries.

What is your favourite hotel in the world?

pernille lind

Raya Heritage, in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

The hotel group have a few boutique hotels and resorts  spread around Thailand. With this particular destination, they have collaborated with local craft people around the region, who have made the hotel staff uniforms, furniture, lighting, table ware, and other ornamental objects. Many are made using traditional techniques and locally sourced  materials. When we were there we also visited a coffee plantation up in the nearby mountains,  which is run by the hotelier and supplies the coffee to their hotels. The guest rooms are set within an  immaculately maintained tropical garden, just on the river. Every morning you will wake up to  sounds of jungle wildlife, and the connection with nature all around the hotel grounds, is so relaxing  and peaceful. In another life I would like to live there! and in this one, I’ll go back very soon again!
