The most important thing you’ve designed to date?
boris
Ranelagh, a private mansion in the heart of Paris. Symmetrical layout, old parquet floors, woodwork, moldings… the history of the place was obviously my main inspiration for this project. Reviving a past memory, tinged with modernism.

What are the most important things one should think about when designing their space?
boris
Without questioning, there is no creation. I spend a lot of time building, deconstructing and then reconstructing each drawing of a project. I am constantly looking for a balance between function, rightness and unexcepted.

What is the biggest design trend you are embracing right now?
Boris
Smooth and soft shapes. Raw and natural tones.

Favourite design destination in the world?
boris
Any night under the stars and being awakened by the first rays of the sun. The cosmos, its myths and its aesthetics have always fascinated me. My latest projects get inspired by these lunar and enigmatic decors.

What’s on your coffee table?

A book on Jean Prouvé. Sometimes, my friends' feet.

Go to colour?
boris
Rather sober and natural tones: greige, beige, earths, white, muted colors...

Design hero:
boris
Probably a super hero with the vision of Jacques Tati, the modernism of Ludwig Mies Van Der Rohe, the finesse of Vincenzo De Cotiis and the plastic of Valentine Schlegel.
