The most important thing you’ve designed to date?
carla barton
I’ve worked on a range of amazing projects over the years in Sydney, Melbourne and New York. But for me, the current and future projects are the most important. I think it’s important to focus on the projects in front of you, I want continually to grow and improve on the work I am putting out. I always like to think I’m growing and getting better with every project.

A project you are working on now:
carla barton
We are working on a few exciting projects now, a contemporary 4 storey home in Rose Bay, a traditional 3 storey home in Vaucluse and a boat inspired 2 level Guest house in Balmain East. Our current projects vary so much in design aesthetic from one to another which keeps us on our toes.

What is your favourite hotel in the world?
carla Barton
We recently stayed in this gorgeous B&B on the Amalfi coast in the south of Italy for our Honeymoon. All the fruit and honey served for breakfast was freshly picked from their farm and prepared that morning, coupled with the fabulous views of Sorrento from the top of the hill… It was a little hidden gem I can’t wait to go back to! Agriresrot Villa Edera.
