How did you get started in bespoke interior and kitchen design?
CAISA LEIFSDOTTER
I’ve always had a deep passion for interior design and furniture, especially antiques, since I was a child. I would constantly repaint and refurnish my childhood room, and my weekends were (and still are) spent exploring flea markets and antique shops. I come from a long line of carpenters, and my father was also an interior designer. As a child, I spent a lot of time in my grandfather’s carpentry workshop, so I guess you could say it’s in my blood. On top of that, I’m a foodie, and I cherish the tradition of gathering in the kitchen with friends and family. This makes it especially meaningful for me to work with bespoke interiors and kitchens, which I see as the heart of the home.

How would you describe your signature style in your own words?
CAISA LEIFSDOTTER
This is a tough question for me because I’ve always disliked being put in a box—it makes it difficult to breathe free. I love to evolve and explore different styles. However, if I had to describe my signature style, I would say it focuses on honest materials and sculptural, practical minimalism.

Talk to us about how you work with clients. Do you have any tips on how to approach truly bespoke and unique projects?
CAISA LEIFSDOTTER
Collaboration is key. I listen closely to my clients’ desires and needs, ensuring that each project is a true reflection of their personality. My tip is to always stay open-minded and embrace the creative process—it’s about crafting something that is uniquely theirs - With my touch.

What are your favourite materials to work with and why? Do you experiment with different materials when designing kitchens?
CAISA LEIFSDOTTER
I love working with natural stones, wood, and metals because of their durability and timeless appeal. I enjoy experimenting with different finishes and textures, always looking for ways to push the boundaries of how these materials can be used. This approach allows for endless possibilities in creating a unique kitchen environment.

Are there any recent projects you can tell us about that you feel perfectly exemplify your brand?
CAISA LEIFSDOTTER
I love (almost) all of my projects and clients, and it’s a huge privilege to be trusted with such a personal project—a home. We recently completed a wonderful project that I feel perfectly exemplifies my brand. It was a newly built villa, but we managed to give it the charm of history and exceptional material quality. I helped design a stunning kitchen, bathrooms, and entrance. In the entrance, we even created a hidden door in the cabinets that leads to the bedroom—a detail I absolutely love. The clients fully embraced my BOW design, which made the project even more special.

What does a typical working day look like for you?
CAISA LEIFSDOTTER
I love to start my day with a walk—nothing like a fresh brain! Then I usually begin by sitting at my computer, answering emails, making my “to-do” lists, and updating the status of projects. I adjust drawings, walk through projects with my colleagues, and sometimes attend on-site meetings or give presentations. Occasionally, I’ll plug in my AirPods and work on the Psychedelic Mirrors or sketch and model a new design idea. Every day is different—and I love that.Favourite hotel in the world:

Hmmm... there are so many - My dad is one of them, he created some fantastic designs in the '70s. I’m a big fan of anyone who dares to push boundaries and make an impact.
